Thanks for visiting my homepage! This website focuses on the things I am passionate about. First and foremost, I love to work with students! Engaging with fresh and creative minds is a real treat! As a professor, I see my role as a background facilitator of the learning process. The more invisible I am, the more powerful and empowered the students will be in that process. I think of it as I do of dressage, the sport I devoted my youth to many years back in Sweden! The more effortless it looks from a spectator’s point of view, the more refined the performance. In the same way, I like to orchestrate the learning from behind the scenes and thereby allow students the opportunity to be active and involved stakeholders in their own learning process. This is probably part of the reason why I enjoy working with real client projects in which students take the driver’s seat and “own” the client relationship. To observe the students transform from being “mere” students to serious consultant, and to see them bring theory into practice, is a very humbling and rewarding experience.
My deep connection with Sweden and a keen interest in Clean Technology has prompted me to focus my research and teaching on applying my expertise in international marketing strategy to this industry, which is thriving in my home country. The exploration of the potential for transferability of ideas, products, processes, and concepts between countries is what drives my academic pursuits. More recently, I have expanded this interest to also include the Healthcare industry. Being part of the conversation around CleanTech and Healthcare from a global perspective is important to me. These are the areas in which we will see major transformations in the near future, transformations that will have an impact on the world as we know it.
